About me

Originally from rural Norfolk, I followed an interest in biology to study an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at UCL. I was drawn to the opportunity to combine programming with biology and took as many computational biology modules as the university offered. Graduating with a BSc in Zoology, Imperial College London's master's course Computational Methods in Ecology and Evolution was a natural route to further develop those programming skills.

Currently

I'm now based in Cambridge, working for a medical software development company (read about our work here).

In my spare time

Houseplants (particularly Hoya species, and my latest purchase is a variety of peace lily that can grow to be over 2m tall!)

Foraging with friends for fruit to make homebrewed wine and beer - next project will be developing an app that will help record locations of wild trees and when they are fruiting.
